A.Y.S.O. Philosophy
The AYSO philosophy is to develop and deliver a quality soccer program where everyone participates in a fun, fair, safe, environment based on the 5 AYSO philosophies which are as follows:
Everyone plays- Our goal is for kids to play soccer- so we mandate that every player on every team must play at least one half of every game.
Balanced Teams- At the start of each season, we form teams as evenly balanced as possible as it is far more fun to play when teams of equal ability play each other.
Positive Coaching- Kids play harder when they are encouraged not berated. We train and encourage our coaches to make the extra effort to understand and offer positive help to our players, rather than negative criticism.
Open Registration- Our program is open to all children between the ages of 4 ½ to 18 years old who want to play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.
Good Sportsmanship- We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect, rather than a win at all costs attitude. Region 158 is designed to instill good sportsmanship and all the other philosophies.
If you would like to expedite your visit to us on registration day you can pre register at www.eayso.org. You still have to come and visit us, with a picture of the player, if new play proof of birth date, money and three copies of the registration form. If you need help please see the link above.
